All Hampshire public libraries are currently closed for browsing for the remainder of the national lockdown however, we are pleased to confirm that you can still access library services in many other ways:

Our popular Ready Reads ‘click and collect’ service is still available at all Hampshire libraries. When you sign up for Ready Reads, our expert staff will handpick books for safe collection from your chosen library. You can sign up online or by calling 01962 454747.

You can still use our paid-for reservation service during the national lockdown. Use our online library catalogue or the Spydus mobile app to request a book and pick it up from the branch of your choice. This is the ideal service if you want a specific author or title.

Our Home Library Service will continue to support those who cannot visit a library due to ill-health, disability, or caring duties. If you do not use the Home Library Service but are taking additional precautions during the lockdown, Ready Reads selections and reservations can also be collected on your behalf.

If you would like to become a Home Library Service Volunteer you can register online.

We will accept returned items while libraries are closed for browsing. We have frozen all late fines, that would have been payable from 5 November, until the end of the national lockdown. You can still pay outstanding fines online.

Our digital library includes a great selection of eBooks, eAudio, eMagazines and even online newspapers with a broad range of titles for all ages. The service is free to access and the apps are easy to use.

Full guidance on our entire digital collection, including support for downloading and using the apps for the first time is available online.
